If October 7, 2023 was the day the cracks in the Israeli occupation finally gave way, then October 7, 2024 has been the day the cracks in the Israeli propaganda zeitgeist finally gave way. After we all spent a year watching the most horrific images any human has ever seen on a daily basis, watching Israeli soldiers and politicians gleefully gloat about executing these atrocities, watching the eliminationist hate speech become normalized by the media- people are fucking done.
The resistance is now global and it is stronger than anyone could have ever imagined. Who radicalized us? Israel themselves. Israel miscalculated and showed their entire hand. There is no ambiguity anymore about what the Israeli project is. Israel's atrocious conduct finally outpaced the reach of their hasbara.
Israel does not have a right to defend itself. It does not have a right to exist. I was once foolish enough to think there was some kind of compromise to be had here, but it's a lie. Israel mandated genocide as a necessary component to its existence and that is precisely what disqualifies it from the right to exist.
